Falls Man Found Not Guilty of Attempted Murder, Faces Jail Time for Felonious Assault

A Stark County jury reaches its verdict Wednesday afternoon.

A Stark County jury found a Cuyahoga Falls man not guilty of attempted murder in shooting of an Akron man in September.

The jury did find Robert W. Petrone guilty of felonious assault, a second degree felony. Petrone was sentenced to eight years behind bars. Petrone plead not guilty to the charges in November.

The court bailiff told Cuyahoga Falls Patch that his family and the victim's family packed into the courtroom Wednesday to hear the final verdict.
