Expect Delays, Detours During Romney Campaign Stop: Traffic Alert

Several streets in Cuyahoga Falls will be closed on Tuesday afternoon during rush hour. Refer below and plan your commute accordingly.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will be making a campaign stop in Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesday evening, which is good news for Romney fans but bad news for local motorists. 

To skip the traffic disruptions on Oct. 9, refer to the following road closure locations:

  • 4th Street will be closed to traffic from Stow Avenue to Oakwood Drive on Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
  • Oakwood Drive will be closed to traffic from 2nd Street to 4th Street on Tuesday beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Drivers may also experience some delays when the Romney motorcade arrives in
the Portage Trail, Second Street, Third Street and Fourth Street area, according to a city press release.

Romney's "Victory Rally" will be held at 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Natatorium. Bleachers and barricades will be set up prior to the event.

Roads are expected to reopen Tuesday night following the rally.
