Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Parade Winners Announced

The Cuyahoga Falls Pride Alumni Band came away with the People's Choice Award.

About 200 floats, cars, bands and various performance groups rolled and strolled down Portage Trail on Saturday morning for the Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Parade.

Onlookers and participants alike battled the cold and rainy weather in support of the much-anticipated event, and many attendees cast their votes via text message to determine the people’s choice winner.

Winner Best Equestrian/Animal Unit - Clifford Shoemaker's Horse Drawn Hearse

Winner Best Youth Marchers - Zahand's Martial Arts Academy

Winner Best Adult Marchers - Cuyahoga Falls Safety Forces Honor Guard

Winner Best Band Performance - Cuyahoga Falls Tiger Marching Band

Residents Dick Pierson, Dick Sebastian and Rev. Kirk Bruce
were stationed in front of the and acted as the judges for all units, except the People's Choice Award.
