Council Preview: Five Committees Convene Tonight

Public debate is welcome during Cuyahoga Falls City Council committee meetings, held the first and third Monday of each month.
The for tonight's meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Erie/Cuyahoga Room at the , includes the following discussion items:
- An ordinance in relation to the 2010 Federal Decennial Census.
- An ordinance authorizing the safety director to enter into a contract for the purchase of self-contained breathing apparatus sets and a rescue intervention pack.
- An ordinance authorizing the service director to enter into a three-year contract without competitive bidding with Genuine Parts Co. for the operation of an automotive parts shop in a city facility located at 2560 Bailey Road, and for the purchase of auto and truck parts.
- An ordinance authorizing the service director to enter into a contract for the demolition of buildings and removal of demolition debris at various locations in the city, and certifying the related costs to the Summit County Fiscal Office for collection.
- A resolution expressing support for the construction of the Cuyahoga Falls/Silver Lake Police Memorial.
