Boil Alert: City Repairs Third Break in a Month

A boil alert is issued for residents along 8th Street.

The Cuyahoga Falls Utility Department is working to repair the third water main break this month.

A section of a water pipe on 8th Street between Portage Trail and Roosevelt Avenue was removed Tuesday. A boil alert is now in effect for those who live within that area along 8th Street until Thursday at 4 p.m.

If you plan to use water for cooking or drinking, it’s recommended to bring water to a rolling boil for about two minutes.
