Woman Takes 81 DVDs, Air Freshener from Target

The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Jan. 7 to 9. It does not indicate a conviction.

That’s a lot of movies

A Target employee reported that a 23-year-old Hudson woman had taken about $500 worth of merchandise from the store. That included a basket, air freshener and 81 DVDs. She was given a summons for theft.

A 30-year-old Akron man was charged with disorderly conduct and having an open container after police found him drunk and sitting on a cat litter container at the corner of 3rd Street and Bailey Road at around 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 9. The container was filled with bottles and cans of alcohol, including an open container of “Four Loko.”

Tablet stolen, recovered

A Best Buy employee reported that a 32-year-old Akron man tried to take a $500 Samsung tablet on Jan. 8. The tablet was recovered, and the man was charged with theft.

Attempted theft, part 3

A 22-year-old Akron man tried to leave Target without paying for a backpack, nine CDs and a 20-pack of batteries on Jan. 8. He was charged with theft. The total cost of the goods he tried to take was about $166.

Death threat

A local business owner reported that a known person entered his Meier Place business after being banned on Jan. 7. The owner confronted the subject, who then reportedly threatened to kill the man. The business owner was referred to the prosecutor’s office.
