Violent Stalker; Vehicular Assault; and Busted Behind the Wheel: Falls Police Blotter

Busted behind the wheel

While cruising at night in one's 1987 Cadillac, it's probably better to leave the booze and drugs at home. That being said, a "Caddy man" was pulled over on Oct. 6 at 12:46 a.m. by Cuyahoga Falls Police and was found to be in possession of an open bottle of liquor, a glass pipe and a bag of marijuana. The man was cited with open container, drug abuse and drug paraphernalia and has been summoned to Stow Municipal Court.

A 32-year-old Falls man filed a police report on Oct. 4 following a violent encounter with his ex-girlfriend, who, he claims, has been stalking him for the past month. The Front Street resident told police there's been four separate stalking incidents. The last one allegedly resulted in his ex barging into his residence, punching him in the chest and pushing him down a short flight of stairs. According to the police report, the man has endured "extreme mental distress" over the incidents and is ready to press charges.

On Oct. 4 at 5:26 p.m.,  were called after a man was struck by a motorist outside the Red Fox Sports Pub & Grille. The victim sustained injuries when hit by the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am; however, he refused medical treatment at the scene. The man intends to press assault charges against the rogue driver.
