Violent Fugitive Wanted on Federal Weapons Charge

Both the U.S. Marshals and ATF are looking for Daniel Austin

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that will lead to the capture of Daniel Austin, a fugitive who faces federal firearms charges.

Austin, 31, is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Austin is accused of having a handgun on him when previously stopped by police. However, as a convicted felon, he is not allowed to own a firearm.

According to the Task Force, the ATF picked up the case due to Austin’s extensive history of violent crime.

Austin is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is suspected to be hiding out somewhere in Cleveland. He also had a previous address near the 2800 block of East 130th Street in Cleveland.
