Valium Overdose; 2nd Street Blackout; and Costly Fraud: Crime Blotter

A 57-year-old Cuyahoga Falls resident was reportedly defrauded out of $16,000 when a known contractor failed to properly construct an addition on her home. 

Police advised the woman, who lives in the 1900 block of Maurice Street, to change her locks, and referred her to the Cuyahoga Falls Prosecutor's Office, according to a July 19 police report.

Overdose

A 35-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was taken to Summa Western Reserve Hospital after taking an unknown amount of Valium while "severely intoxicated," according to a July 19 police report. 

The man told officers the overdose was accidental. 

Blacked out

On June 19, a 26-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was cited after officers found him passed out in his driveway in the 1800 block of 2nd Street.

Police discovered the man had an outstanding warrant in Wadsworth and transferred him to the nearby city.
