UPDATE Tree Lands on SUV, Mom and Child Rescue

A Cuyahoga Falls woman was trapped inside her vehicle Thursday night.

The rescue effort took two hours and the victim is now in stable condition at a hospital. The child that was taken out of the vehicle before the fire department arrived and is also in stable condition at this time.

The Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department received the call shortly after 7 p.m. about the incident on Grove Avenue. 

When firefighters arrived to the scene, they found the driver of the small SUV pinned inside the vehicle by a large fallen Oak tree. Multiple wires were reported down in the nearby. Police, the electric departments and the city street department joined the Asplundh tree service in removing the tree, so that the victim could be safely rescued.
