Update: Attorney General Thanks Public for Help Catching Sex Offender

DeWine says numerous tips helped snare convicted rapist.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is thanking the public for helping authorities locate a convicted sex offender who failed to register his correct address.

According to authorities with the Summit County Sheriff's Office, Tyonne Hosey, 29, was taken into custody from a High Street home in Cuyahoga Falls at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. He was wanted for failing to provide a change of address.

"A convicted sex offender will only get in more trouble by not registering a correct address," DeWine said.  "In these cases it is only a matter of time before law enforcement catches up and brings them back to jail."

Tyonne Hosey, who is known to go by the alias Tyronne, spent time in prison after being convicted on rape charges, according to a press release from the Ohio Attorney General's office. He was released in 2006 and classified as a sexually oriented offender with the requirement to register his address once a year for 10 years.

His last known address was 505 Castle Blvd. in Akron.

Hosey has four tattoos, including the words "Cry Now" on his right forearm and "Laugh Later" on his left forearm, and "Bar" on his right forearm and "None" on his left forearm.  He also has a scar on his nose.
