Three Youths Charged with Felonies in Connection to Cemetery Vandalism

Two teens from Cuyahoga Falls and one from Akron reportedly admitted to knocking over gravestones.

Cuyahoga Falls Police charged three juveniles — two from Falls and one from Akron — with felonies Tuesday in connection with the Oakwood Cemetery vandalism.

A 17-year-old Falls boy is being charged with three counts of felony vandalism.

The 16-year-old Akron boy is being charged with two counts of felony vandalism and the 15-year-old from Cuyahoga Falls is being charged with one count of felony vandalism. The charges are all fifth-degree felonies.

The cases will be sent to juvenile court.

All three have admitted knocking over gravestones in Oakwood Cemetery, according to Chief Tom Pozza in a Falls-News Press post

Two Cuyahoga Falls detectives received tips from community members to help catch the suspects.

According to Pozza, the juveniles have been linked to all the recent vandalisms.
