A squad of Cuyahoga Falls Police and SWAT team members arrested Brandon J. Richards at 1:15 a.m. Thursday in the 3300 block of Bath Heights Drive.
Richards, 23, of Cuyahoga Falls, was arrested after he allegedly threatened his significant other with a handgun, and for dealing marijuana, said Falls Police Lt. Steve Guldeman.
After speaking with the victim, police decided to deploy their SWAT team to assist in the arrest.
When police executed a warrant and entered his residence at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Richards wasn't home. He was arrested two hours later when he returned to the residence in a car.
He was charged with trafficking in marijuana, a fifth-degree felony, and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.
The victim reported the alleged domestic violence incident to police at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and said it had occurred at Richards' Bath Heights residence.
Guldeman said the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be leveled against him.
