Suspected Heroin User Found Unconscious in Gas Station Bathroom: Crime Blotter

Copper caper

A foreclosed home, located in the 1300 block of Sackett Avenue, was broken into on July 25. 

According to the police report, an unknown number of thieves tore $3,000 worth of copper piping out of the basement.

There are no leads or suspects. 

Heroin arrests

Cuyahoga Falls police arrested Curt D. Lukens, 33, of Stow, on July 24 after officers found him passed out in the Sheetz gas station men's room. 

Police reported he was in possession of a hypodermic needle and a burnt spoon.

Lukens was charged with drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor, and drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. He was taken to Summa Western Reserve Hospital. 

Officers then spotted Lukens' friend Alexis R. Hewko, 28, of Akron, in the parking lot, and found she was in possession of a burnt spoon and heroin.

Hewko was arrested and charged with drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, and drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. 

Caught with pants down

A pair of Akron residents was cited on July 22 for disorderly conduct after officers caught them "engaged in sexual activities" on the boardwalk behind the Sheraton Suites off Front Street, according to a police report. 

These local lovers probably should have just rented a room.
