String of Burglaries Reported in Cuyahoga Falls

The following was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Four burglaries, a breaking and entering incident and a gun theft were reported in Cuyahoga Falls last week alone.

Here's what's known, according to Cuyahoga Falls police reports:

March 27, 8:02 a.m.

One or more burglars reportedly smashed through the front door of the Cuttin It Up beauty salon on Bailey Road and broke open a charity box located inside the store. According to the salon owner, nothing was missing from the business, although, she does wish to prosecute if the culprit is caught.

March 27, 8:30 a.m.

An unknown number of burglars reportedly shattered the front window of the Razor's Edge Hair Studio on Graham Road and stole a cash box and $190 in loose cash. Estimated loss: $590. No leads or suspects were reported.

March 27, 5:43 p.m.

A woman living in the 300 block of Hardman Drive called police after someone reportedly kicked in the front door of her residence. Nothing was taken, and the victim was referred to the Cuyahoga Falls Prosecutor's Office.

March 28, 12:12 a.m.

A woman living in the 2200 block of Hoch Drive alerted police after she arrived home and found that someone had rummaged through her house. One or more burglars reportedly entered her residence through a back door and stole $2,500 in jewelry. 

March 28, 12:35 p.m.

A man living in the 1700 block of Falls Avenue called police after a burglar reportedly forced open the back door of his home and stole several items. Estimated loss: $2,000. The man does wish to prosecute if the burglar is caught. 

March 31, 4:32 p.m.

A man living in the 500 block of Archdale Avenue reported someone stole his .357 caliber two-barrel Texas Defender handgun. The gun was reportedly stolen from his basement. There is a suspect and the man intends to prosecute.
