Sheetz Update: Patch Reader's Tip Leads to Robber's Arrest

On Thursday, police received a call from a regarding the robbery.

The Patcher gave police the alleged robber's name and address, according to police Capt. Jack Davis.

Within hours of getting the tip, Daniel Frick, 33, of Cuyahoga Falls, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery in connection with Wednesday night's holdup.

Here's the rundown:

Frick was nabbed during a traffic stop after detectives noticed the car he was driving matched the vehicle used in the robbery.

According to a police report, Frick entered the gas station at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night, grabbed a can of beer and walked to the register.

Police said he then placed his hand inside his hooded sweatshirt, told the clerk he had a gun and demanded all the money from the register.

Frick fled the store with an unknown amount of cash and sped off in what was described as a black 4-door car.
