Sex Offender Arrested in Cuyahoga Falls
Man did not register as sex offender, as he is required to do.
U.S. Marshals have arrested a convicted rapist in Cuyahoga Falls on charges that he failed to register locally as a sexual offender.
Tyonne James Hosey, 29, is being held in Summit County Jail.
Tyonne Hosey, who is known to go by the alias Tyronne, spent time in prison after being convicted on rape charges, according to a press release from the Ohio Attorney General's office. He was released in 2006 and classified as a sexually oriented offender with the requirement to register his address once a year for 10 years.
According to public records, Hosey did not meet his most recent registration requirements, and deputies with the Summit County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for his arrest on July 24. U.S. Marshals arrested Hosey in Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesday. He was also charged with tampering with records, according to the Ohio Attorney General's office.
His last known address was 505 Castle Blvd. in Akron.
Hosey has four tattoos, including the words "Cry Now" on his right forearm and "Laugh Later" on his left forearm, and "Bar" on his right forearm and "None" on his left forearm. He also has a scar on his nose.
