Routine Traffic Stop Snags Suspected Drug Trafficker

The following was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Michael B. Gangle, 20, of Copley, was charged with trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony, after a July 9 traffic stop at Portage Trail and 11th Street.

The traffic stop was initiated after an officer suspected Gangle's window tint was too dark, said Cuyahoga Falls Police Sgt. Michael Heinl.

When police searched his car, they allegedly found several hundred dollars, an ounce of pre-packaged marijuana and a digital scale.

Gangle will appear before Magistrate John W. Clark in Stow Municipal Court for a preliminary hearing on July 23, according to the Stow Clerk of Court's Office.

Given the felony charge, his case will likely be bound over to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas for prosecution.
