Police Investigating $7,800 in Thefts From Homes, Vehicle

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

are investigating the thefts of $7,000 worth of jewelry boxes, $500 worth of prescription medications and a $319 gun from two city homes and a vehicle:

  • A resident of the 1800 block of 2nd Street called police at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 20 to reported that someone took five prescription medications, her Ohio Direct card and an Ohio identification card from her apartment. The loss is valued at $500. The woman, 46, said the theft occurred sometime between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 3 a.m. Dec. 20.
  • Burglary was reported at 4:19 p.m. Dec. 20 by a resident of the 2100 block of 11th Street. The man told police that someone had entered his residence by unknown means between Dec. 15 and 16 and took a stainless steel Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol valued at $319.
  • A resident of the 3200 block of Charles Street called police at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 22 to report that someone had entered her 2011 Hyundai and stole jewelry boxes with a combined value of $7,000. The woman, 62, said the crime occurred between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 21. Police have no leads or suspects.
