Police: Thieves Ransack Cuyahoga Falls Home; Woman Caught With Fake Money, Open Beer

The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Feb. 17-18. It does not indicate convictions.

Everything but the kitchen sink

An unknown number of thieves ransacked a foreclosed home in the 1000 block of East Broadway Street on Feb. 14 and reportedly stole $10,000 worth of materials from the residence. 

The furnace, hot water tank and copper piping were removed, along with strips of aluminum siding off the side of the home, according to the Feb. 18 Cuyahoga Falls police report

Officers observed there were no signs of forced entry.

Police responded to the Howe Avenue Taco Bell on Feb. 17 after a customer reportedly produced a counterfeit bill to pay for her order.

While officers questioned the 23-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman, they noticed an open can of beer beside her and handed her an open container citation.

They advised the woman the Cuyahoga Falls Detective's Bureau would investigate the alleged forgery incident.
