Police Blotter: Woman Wields Knife During Burglary

The information below was provided by Cuyahoga Falls police. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated burglary

A Buckingham Gate Boulevard resident called at 11:06 p.m. last Wednesday to report that a woman entered his home, threatened him with a switchblade and took $800 in cash.

The man, 22, told police that a 20-year-old Munroe Falls woman he knows entered his apartment through an unlocked patio door while he was home. He said the woman threatened him with a switchblade knife and forced her way into his bedroom, where she took the cash.

Police report that the man was unsure if he wanted to prosecute; he requested advice on obtaining a protection order.

Burglaries

A 29-year-old Indiana man was arrested and charged with burglary on Nov. 19. A resident of the 2800 block of 9th Street told police he found the man in his kitchen without consent to be there. 

A Ravenshallow Drive resident found two unknown males in the attached garage at her home Nov. 18 at 8:34 p.m. The woman, 51, told police the suspects ran off when she discovered them. Nothing was reported stolen.

Attempted burglary

Attempted burglary was reported at 3:48 p.m. Nov. 19 by a resident of the 100 block of Luden Avenue. The man, 64, told police that someone attempted to gain entry to his property by smashing the glass on the side door some time between 9 p.m. Nov. 17 and 3:45 p.m. Nov. 19. Entry was not gained; damage to the door was estimated at $150.
