Thomas Fioretto, owner of Fioretto Construction, called police on Saturday evening after someone swiped 50 to 60 constructions cones and signage that had been lined up on Front Street. Estimated loss: $2,700.

Better lock it up next time

A small-time thief opened a man’s unlocked car on Sunday morning and stole $36 in change, two cell phone chargers and six packs of cigarettes. The car was parked on Sackett Avenue. Estimated loss: $63.50.

Identity Fraud

A sneaky crook got a look at a woman’s debit card number and spent $320 of her money. The thief made purchases in different states, one day apart. The Liberty Street resident called police on Monday, informed them of the theft but said she didn’t wish to prosecute.
