Police Blotter: Thousands of Dollars of Gold and Jewelry Reported Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft

  • An employee with the told police that on Sept. 27, someone stole 10 Kit Kat candy bars. The candy bars were behind the information desk at the center, and they were owned and sold by the Senior Adult Program. Total estimated loss is $15.
  • The owner of told police that sometime between Sept. 21 and 22, someone stole $15,000 worth of gold from the business. Police have no leads.

Criminal Trespass

A woman living in the 2400 block of State Road told police that at around 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 27, her son went to the basement of the apartment building to find a white male sleeping on the floor. The man ran out of the rear of the building across State Road.

Burglary

A woman living in the 2800 block of Revere Drive told police that sometime between Sept. 26 and 27, someone stole jewelry from her bedroom. Taken was a diamond ring and approximately two ounces of miscellaneous gold pieces. Total estimated loss is $10,500. Police said that there were no signs of forced entry.
