Police Blotter: High Value Thefts and a Real Homewrecker

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

responded to the following reports:

  • A man, 87, who lives in the 100 block of Graham Road called police at 2:44 p.m. Saturday to report that someone stole his ATM card and then withdrew $962 on March 1 and 2.
  • A manager called police at 8:40 p.m. Saturday to report a known employee who sold $9,685 worth of camera lenses for $438 to one person in two transactions. The buyer paid cash and gave different names for each transaction. The manager said the sales were not authorized by management and that the store is willing to prosecute.
  • A resident of the 1600 block of 17th Street called police at 5:11 p.m. Sunday to report that someone stole his iPhone 4S valued at $650 from an unlocked locker at the . The theft occurred between 1 and 3 p.m. that day.
  • A resident of the 2300 block of Hillside Street called police at 7:04 p.m. Sunday to report that a known male broke multiple items inside his house “while in a fit of rage.” Broken were five items with an estimated replacement value of $670. Police charged a Silver Lake man, 55, with criminal damaging.
