Police Blotter: Theft, Resisting Arrest, Attempted Breaking and Entering

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft

  • A 35-year-old man living in the 2600 block of 9th Street told police that someone got into his unlocked car in his driveway in the early hours of July 4 and removed a dual DVD player system and a GPS unit. 
  • A 27-year-old man living in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue told police that someone got into his car while it was in his driveway and took an iPod arm case, car charger and some loose change. The iPod case was found by police, but there are no leads or suspects.

Resisting Arrest

  • A 28-year-old female told police that a 32-year-old male violated his protection order against the woman by attempting to contact her at her apartment in the 1600 block of Munroe Falls Avenue on July 4. When police arrived, the suspect ran from police and resisted arrest by refusing to be handcuffed. Police said they also found Vicodin not prescribed to the suspect.

  • A 65-year-old man in the 600 block of Loomis Avenue told police that between June 28 and July 4, someone tried to pry down the top of his garage door. The suspect was unable to get into the house because of an automatic garage door opener, police said. The man's garage door was able to be bent back into place.
