Police Blotter: Serial Assaults

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Assault, protection-order violation

• A 12-year-old boy was assaulted at Roberts Middle School at about 1:50 p.m. Nov. 10, police said. The boy’s mother said a known juvenile grabbed the boy by the neck and choked him until he fell to the floor. The mother intends to prosecute.

• A resident of the 400 block of Sackett Avenue reported that her 15-year-old son was struck in the head with a rock by an individual she has a protection order against at about 11:10 p.m. Nov. 8. He was taken to Summa Western Reserve Hospital for treatment and Children Services was contacted. The boy had called police earlier that evening to report the same individual had come to the house in violation of a protection order.

• Another woman was assaulted by a juvenile at the same Sackett Avenue address on Nov. 1, fracturing her ribs. Police said she refused assistance and was uncooperative, but later sought treatment at Summa Western Reserve Hospital and said she would prosecute.

Burglary

A resident of the 2500 block of Seventh Street reported a window was removed at her home and laptop computer, Xbox 360 and Xbox Kinect and 40 video games were stolen on Nov. 8.  

Theft

• A manager at CVS Drugs, 1711 State Rd., said a man entered the store and stole several electronic items at about 9 p.m. Nov. 9. The lost items were valued at $509.05. Police said there is video of the theft and the manager intends to prosecute.

• A resident of the 1700 block of 25th Street reported receiving two bad checks between Oct. 28 and Nov. 9. The checks were for $574 and $638.

• A resident of the 1800 block of Second Street reported her wallet was stolen from her unlocked car Oct. 27 or 28. Loss was estimated at $50.

• The soft top was stolen from a Jeep Wrangler between 9 p.m. Nov. 7 and noon Nov. 8. The soft top was valued at $1,395.

• A resident of the 1800 block of Second Street reported someone took $156 from her wallet the night of Nov. 7-8.

• A resident of the 1800 block of  Seventh Street reported a 32-inch flat-screen TV was stolen from her home between Nov. 2 and Nov. 8. The TV was valued at $484.

• A manager at the AT&T store, 794 Howe Ave., reported that an unidentified man stole seven types of head sets for phones at about 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 5. The head sets were valued at $1,739.86.
