Police Blotter: Rims Stolen, Trash Strewn About

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Breaking and Entering/Burglary/Theft

  • A man living in the 1300 block of Hillcrest Drive told police that on Sept. 4, someone entered his unlocked, detached garage and took four 20" chrome rims mounted with tires. Police said nothing else was touched in the garage. Total estimated loss is $2,500.
  • A man living in the 1300 block of Anderson Road told police that on Sept. 6, someone entered his home, went up to his bedroom and stole $275 in cash from his top dresser drawer. When the man's mother came home later in the day she found the back door unlocked.
  • A man told police that on Sept. 6, someone stole his son's Nike tennis shoes from the fence line at . Police have suspects in the shoe theft, and the man will prosecute. Total loss is $110.
  • A man living in the 1300 block of Second Street told police that on Sept. 6, someone pushed a window air conditioning unit through the window and gained access to his home. The suspect stole a Playstation 3 video game console, a computer tower and four Playstation 3 games. Total loss is estimated at $700.
  • The owner of  on Russell Street told police that on Sept. 6, he got a call from one of his neighbors telling him that someone in a silver SUV was taking used brake rotors from a storage area outside of the business. Total loss is estimated at $100.

Criminal Damaging

  • A man living in the 2500 block of Eighth Street told police that on Sept. 7, someone threw trash and carpet scraps all around the area near his house. The suspect also moved his trash cans that were to be picked up. There was no damage to his property, but he does wish to prosecute.
  • A man living in the 300 block of Madison Avenue told police that on Sept. 5, someone jumped up onto the rear of his car, ran across the roof and landed on the hood. The hood was dented from the suspect jumping on it. The car was parked on the street at the time, and total loss is estimated at $200.
