Police Blotter: Marijuana Motorist, Daytime Burglaries and No-Show IT Guy

The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports. It does not indicate a conviction.

Early Monday morning, cops pulled over a driver with a broken tail light on State Road. When officers approached the car, they noticed marijuana sitting in the man’s lap. He admitted to puffing the illegal plant while driving and was arrested for drug abuse.

Daytime burglary

A Loomis Avenue resident came home on Sunday afternoon and quickly realized an HDTV had been stolen from his living room. The thief had broken in through his back door, according to a report. Estimated loss: $1000.

No show

An employee of the United Methodist Church paid a man $2,500 for a new computer server and installation. Only problem was, the IT guy never showed up with the hardware. Police are investigating.

Stolen jewelry

A woman reported that someone nabbed several pieces of gold and silver from her Alameda Avenue residence on Tuesday afternoon. The precious metals were valued at $3,200.
