Police Blotter: Inside Job at Marc's, Vehicle Break-in Spree on State Road

Theft
• An employee at , 2900 State Rd., was arrested along with two accused accomplices in a reported theft from the store on Nov. 2. The employee allowed two others to underpay for merchandise valued at $455, police said. The property was recovered by the store. Charged with theft are Tina Chappell of Akron, Kaprena M. Thomas of Akron and Debrietta M. McDowell of Cuyahoga Falls.
• A Mack truck valued at $25,000 was stolen between Oct. 28 and Oct. 30 from the 4600 block of State Road.

• A driver’s side window was broken and about $2 in change stolen from a car parked at BJL Materials, 4361 State Rd., between Oct. 29 and Oct. 31.
• A Freightliner semi-tractor on the 4600 block of State Road was broken into and ransacked between Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. About $3 in change was reported missing.

• A semi-tractor was broken into the night of Oct. 29 on the 4600 block of State Road. A CB radio and toolbox, total value $1,900, were taken.
• An employee at Spirol International, 321 Remington Rd., reported that $3,800 worth of copper and brass materials has been stolen between Oct. 17 and Nov. 1.
• A purse containing a driver’s license, Social Security card and credit cards was stolen from the office of , 1900 23rd St., between 4 and 6 p.m. Oct. 27. The loss was estimated at more than $70.
• A resident of the 1600 block of Seventh Street reported her son’s iPod was stolen from the home on Oct. 25. Loss was estimated at $250.
• A resident of the 2000 block of Highbridge Road reported that an ignition key and remote control valued at $50 were taken from a vehicle the night of Oct. 31.
