Police Blotter: He Won’t Shut Up, So Police Put Him Up for the Night

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Disorderly conduct

Adam H. Bridges of Akron was arrested after banging loudly on the door of Cuyahoga Falls city offices at 2310 Second St. shortly after 1 a.m. Oct. 5. Police said Bridges was intoxicated and shouting profanities. After being cited for disorderly conduct, Bridges continued to shout, police said, and refused to give his address. He was issued a second disorderly conduct citation and jailed.

Identity theft / misuse of credit card

 • A resident of the 2400 block of 12th Street reported an unknown person used his Visa debit card number to make purchases totaling $107.98 at a South Carolina Walmart on Oct. 1. Police have no suspects or leads.

• A resident of the 700 block of Eleanora Drive reported that an unauthorized user charged $73.96 on a Chase Visa BP credit card on Sept. 26. He told police he canceled the account and the bank removed the charges.

Recovered stolen vehicle

A Kenworth semi-tractor found on the 3400 block of State Road was recovered by its owner at about 1:20 p.m. Oct. 4. It had been reported stolen.

Theft from vehicle

• A River Ridge Lane resident reported that someone broke into his Kenworth truck and removed a TomTom GPS unit, a Galaxy CB radio and three toolboxes containing miscellaneous tools the night of Oct. 3. Loss was estimated at $900.

• A resident of the 2200 block of Fourth Street said a person she allowed to fix her car’s muffler removed the catalytic converter, estimated to be worth $429, at about noon Sept. 17.

• A resident of the 1500 block of East Hunters Lake Drive reported that an amplifier, speaker box and two subwoofers were removed from his 2002 Ford Explorer while parked in front of his home the night of Sept. 30. There was no sign of forced entry. The loss was estimated at $400.  

Burglary, criminal damage

A resident of the 4200 block of Americana Drive reported that between Sept. 30 and Oct. 3 someone forcefully entered her apartment then cut fabric on her furniture and poured bleach on her clothing, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage. There is a suspect and the resident said she would prosecute.

Attempted burglary

A resident of the 800 block of Hollywood Circle reported that someone made at least two attempts to break into his residence on Oct. 2, causing about $100 in damage to a door and window screen. Police said there are leads and the resident will prosecute.
