Police Blotter: Checks, Building Materials Stolen From Businesses
The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
are investigating the following thefts reported by area businesses:
- A woman who works at an office in the 2900 block of Millboro Road called police at 9:43 a.m. Dec. 21 to report that checks stolen from the office had recently been cashed for $1,500. The checks were stolen sometime between Oct. 9, 2009, and Nov. 18 of this year.
- A vice president at Thompson Electric in Munroe Falls called police Dec. 22 to report that more than $3,000 worth of work materials had been stolen from a jobsite in the 3500 block of State Road, near Cochran Road. The thefts occurred between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 7 and 6 a.m. Dec. 22 and included copper and aluminum wiring, cast iron brackets and eight-foot sections of wood. There are no suspects at this time.
