Police Blotter: Car Theft Spree Sunday Night

Five cars were reported to have been broken into for sunglasses, stereo systems, GPS units and more. They were all located on 15th, 16th or 17th street, Sunday, Jan. 22. More cars could have been broken into, but not reported. Police are looking into the situation.

- A company van at 1225 Anderson Road had a Garmin GPS, $150, taken by way of a broken-out driver's window. Total damage and loss is $300, Jan. 18.
- At , 445 Howe Avenue, $1,400 of scrap metal was taken from the store's back dumpster, Jan. 18.
- A Target associate saw a man bring a Phillips 46-inch television through the checkout without paying. He was stopped at the exit and the television will be returned. Target reported a total of $649.99 stolen, Jan. 18.
