Police Blotter: Break-In at Batting Cage, Tokens Taken

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Felonious Assault

A Stow man told police that on Sept. 4, an unknown suspect struck him several times with an expandable stick/tool in the 4100 block of Wyoga Lake Road. The man suffered from several injuries, including a head laceration and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The man told police that he does not wish to prosecute at this time.

Breaking and Entering

A man told police that on sometime between Sept. 3 and 4, someone cut the lock to a batting cage at the Downview Sports Center. Police said it looks like the suspect tried to pry open the bottom section of the token box. The tokens are removed every night and the token box was found still locked. Two token boxes were damaged, and the estimated loss is $120.

Assault

A woman living in the 1600 block of Olive Place told police that on Sept. 4, an ex-roommate of hers came to her house to get her things and started throwing stuff around the house. The woman told police that her ex-roommate scratched the fingers of her right hand while she tried to stop her ex-roommate from knocking over her makeup stand. The woman was referred to prosecution.

Burglary

A man living in the 1700 block of High Street told police that on Sept. 1, someone broke into his side door window and got into his house. Police said that the only thing taken was pocket change of unknown value. The man does not wish to prosecute at this time.
