Police Blotter: Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Paintball Target Practice and Grand Theft Joy Ride

Donald Kellar, 63, of Akron, was charged with aggravated vehicular assault on Wednesday after allegedly driving drunk and flipping his car on 2nd Street. The charge was issued after Kellar’s passenger sustained neck and back injuries in the violent crash.

Burglary 

A woman called police on Monday night after discovering someone had broken into her Wyoga Lake apartment. To her dismay, the thief swiped a brand new Xbox video game system, valued at $300.

Unwanted paint job

Someone used a Morrison Avenue residence for a little paintball target practice on Tuesday night. The homeowner reported the front of his house had been pelted with several of the paint-filled projectiles.

Grant theft joy ride

A man called police on Tuesday night, saying someone had made off with his Chrysler Sebring. The car was discovered later that night in the parking lot.
