Police Blotter: Aggravated Burglary, Inducing a Panic and Attempted Theft

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two thieves burst into a man’s Howe Avenue apartment on Tuesday night and began assaulting him. He was put in a chokehold, slammed to the floor and kicked in the face, according to a report. After the man was subdued, the thieves rounded up his laptop, Xbox 360 and jewelry. However, they had to drop the items, jump out of a back bedroom window and flee on foot to evade officers who arrived on scene. A neighbor had called police and reported the disturbance. Police have suspects and leads, and the man intends to press charges.
