Pair Caught With Meat Stuffed in Clothing; Man Hit With Hot Coffee During Argument: Crime Blotter

The following was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Busted barbecuers

Two Akron residents reportedly strolled into Sam's Club on July 8 and tried to steal $300 worth of beef tenderloins and crabs legs.

The pair allegedly stuffed the steak and crab in their clothes and attempted to sneak out of the store, according to a Cuyahoga Falls police report.

Fortunately, the duo was caught at the front door of the big box store and charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Heated argument

A 20-year-old Clinton man called police July 5 after a hot cup of coffee was thrown on him in the heat of an argument.

The coffee didn't cause any serious injuries, according to a police report.

The morning drink slinger, a 19-year-old from Canal Fulton, was cited with disorderly conduct.

Double burglary

A woman's 21st Street apartment was broken into July 5, but the resident reported nothing had been stolen.

As officers investigated, they discovered another nearby apartment had been burglarized as well.

Police are investigating.
