Nurse Solicited For Sex While Giving Hospice Care: Crime Blotter

A State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) told Cuyahoga Falls police she was solicited for sex while giving hospice care to a person living in the 2800 block of Cedar Hill Road.

The incidents occurred between Sept. 1, 2012, and March 18.

The Crossroads Hospice worker reported that a man offered her money in return for sexual intercourse when she was providing hospice care to a patient at the patient's residence.

She told police she was unsure whether she'd like to prosecute.

Soliciting is a third-degree misdemeanor, according to the Cuyahoga Falls police report.

Filth-covered car seat stolen outside Sam's Club

Someone stole a filth-covered child's car seat from the parking lot of Sam's Club, 1189 Buchholzer Road, around 4:30 p.m. March 17. The victim told police his daughter had gotten sick all over the car seat, so he pulled into the parking lot to get paper towels from inside the store. When he got back to his car, he discovered the seat was gone.

Break-in at the Cashmere Cricket

Someone broke into the Cashmere Cricket, 2235 Front St., between 1 and 9 a.m. March 14 and took $717 in cash and caused $1,000 in damages to the building.

Police find drunken man passed out behind Dairy Queen

EMTs took a 61-year-old man to Summa Western Reserve Hospital after police found him passed out from intoxication at the back of the Dairy Queen parking lot, 715 Portage Trail, at 8:16 p.m. March 14. Police found an open can of beer and an open bottle of vodka and cited him with disorderly conduct by intoxication and open container, both minor misdemeanors.
