Mugshot of the Day: Falls Police Charge Ravenna Man With Felony Burglary

Jason Ferrell arrested after joint investigation by Cuyahoga Falls, Tallmadge police departments.

Jason Ferrell, 36, of Ravenna, was arrested June 1 and hit with a felony charge in connection with the May 30 burglary of a Cuyahoga Falls residence.

In a press release, Falls Sgt. James Singleton credited the arrest to a joint investigation conducted by the and Tallmadge Police Departments.

Police say Ferrell robbed an East Broadway Street home at 9:46 a.m. on May 30, put several stolen items in a green compact car and drove off. He was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony, and taken to Summit County Jail.

According to the Falls News Press, Ferrell was also charged with receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, and that he had a felony warrant out for his arrest based on a prior forgery case

Lt. Ron Williams, a Tallmadge Police public information officer, told the newspaper that when Ferrell was arrested June 1 he was in possession of goods reported stolen from a Tallmadge home the morning of May 24.

“(Ferrell) has not been connected to the other burglaries yet, but the investigation continues into other Tallmadge cases and many from surrounding communities,” Williams told the Falls News Press.
