Man Put Down With Taser After Trying to Fight Police: Crime Blotter

Sticky fingers
Nicole J. Motz, 42, of Akron, was arrested at Target on July 16 after trying to steal nearly $1,300 in merchandise.
Motz was snagged by security, arrested and charged with theft, a fifth-degree felony.
Bud Ice blues
A heavily intoxicated 25-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was found wandering down Anderson Road July 14 with a 24-ounce can of Bud Ice in his hand, according to a Cuyahoga Falls police report.
When officers tried to arrest him, the man violently lashed out and was stunned with a taser.
Officers charged the man with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and open container, and tossed him into Cuyahoga Falls City Jail.

An unknown thief broke into a woman's car parked in the 2500 block of 2nd Street, and stole a bag containing $4,000.
The theft occurred on July 9 and the 45-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman would like to prosecute if the culprit is caught.
