Man Commits Aggravated Robbery at Falls Speedway With Fake Gun

The Speedway, located at 2026 Bailey Road in Cuyahoga Falls, was robbed Saturday night by a man who threatened to kill the clerk if he didn't hand over the money in the register.

A man robbed the Bailey Road Speedway over the weekend and slipped away before officers arrived.

At 11:49 p.m. Saturday, an unidentified man walked into the gas station with an object wrapped up in a t-shirt, claimed it was a gun and threatened to shoot the clerk if he didn’t hand over the money in the register, according to a report.

The suspect – a Caucasian man with a slim build, goatee and a tattoo on his neck – was wearing a yellow and black coat, checkered shorts and black tennis shoes at the time of the robbery, according to dispatches from police radio.

He stole an unknown amount of money and fled down East Broadway Street.

Police found the the man's makeshift weapon and coat on East Broadway near Windsor Street. They called in the K-9 unit in an attempt to track the robber but the police dog couldn’t pick up a scent.

Police are investigating the incident.
