UPDATE Man Arrested After Chase into River

Police ran after a man following a break-in a shop along the Front Street Mall.

Cuyahoga Falls police run after a suspect in connection with a break-in over the weekend.

Police responded to a possible breaking and entering incident in progress at the at 2146 Front Street Saturday at 2:24 a.m.. Police report suspects were seen fleeing the area as a witness called police with a suspect description.

Anthony S. Stemple was pursued on a foot chase near the riverfront. He ran into the river, but was arrested after he returned to shore.

Stemple is charged with breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth degree, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

His arraignment is schedule for 8:30 a.m., Mon., Aug. 15 at Stow Municipal Court.
