The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Jan. 24-26. It does not indicate a conviction.

Whoops

On Jan. 26 at 12:43 p.m., a resident with an itchy trigger finger inadvertently shot a .40 caliber bullet into his hand. According to the Cuyahoga Falls police report, the man was taking apart a handgun, and it went off. His wife drove him to a local hospital following the accident.

Quite a pairing

An Akron man was arrested at Giant Eagle on Jan. 26 after he tried to steal $92 worth of steaks and air fresheners. Police charged the hapless crook with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Easy burglary

On Jan. 25, someone reportedly crept through the front door of a man's 3rd Street home and stole his Xbox 360 and several video games. The man said the home was unlocked at the time of the burglary. Total loss: $500.

As seen on TV

Should I feel bad that no one thinks my stuff is good enough to steal? Or, is it because that everyone within 2 blocks of my house knows my alarm system (2 big dogs) is on alert 24/7? When will people learn to lock their cars and homes? Even with my alarm system, I still do it every day!!
