Runaway Horse Causes Fatal Accident, Kills Cuyahoga Falls Man
A 71-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was involved in a car accident out of state when a horse was loose on a Colorado highway.
DENVER — Walter Ruthenburg of Cuyahoga Falls was killed in a fatal and bizarre accident involving a horse in Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol said two people died and three were injured during a crash involving a loose horse and three vehicles on Sunday.
A minivan collided with a horse that was running on Interstate 76 killing passenger Carol Ricketts, 66, of Nashville, MI.

A car then hit the horse and rolled onto the driver's side in the left lane, killing 71-year-old Walter Ruthenburg, of Cuyahoga Falls, reports WKYC.
An Audi A4 sedan then collided with the Venture and flew off the highway into a fence. The Audi driver had serious injuries and the passenger and the driver of the minivan had minor injuries.

The horse died. WKYC reports that troopers weren't sure how the horse got loose.
