Injured Drunk Man Mistaken for Burglar

It appears not one, but two men were mistaken for burglars this week in Cuyahoga Falls.

A drunk Akron man took a bad spill on Tuesday night, sustained a head injury and got lost while looking for help, according to an Oct. 30 Cuyahoga Falls Police report, and police radio traffic.

To help find his way, he called 9-1-1; and as police used his cell phone signal to track his location, the disoriented man stumbled up to a residence in the 1900 block of Germaine Street.

Consequently, the homeowner mistook the man for a burglar and called police.
