Hooligans Hit Kennedy Park; Woman Loses $500 Cash: Falls Police Blotter

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls Police reports dated Sept. 23. It does not indicate a conviction.

Unnecessary destruction

On Sept. 23 at 12:47 p.m., Cuyahoga Falls Police officers had to close off the public restrooms at Kennedy Park after an unknown number of hooligans smashed the bathroom sinks. The water lines were subsequently broken during the restroom ruckus, causing the water to travel upward and soak the roof. Estimated damage: $1,000. The criminal damaging occurred sometime on Sept. 22.

Anyone seen $500?

A woman called police on Sept. 23 at 1:44 p.m. after losing a white envelope containing roughly $500 in cash. The Munroe Falls resident believes she left the money somewhere on the grounds of Kennedy Park. If anyone happens to recover the money, they're asked to call Cuyahoga Falls Police dispatch at 330-928-2181.
