Many details regarding the Issaquah Street car crash remain unclear, but it’s reported it was resident Mary Nime who sustained injuries when a motorist smashed through the front of her house on Thursday morning.

The extent of her Injuries is unknown at this time, but Cuyahoga Falls rescue crews considered her a trauma patient and took her to an area hospital immediately following the accident, said Dave Frankowski, a bystander who arrived on scene minutes after the accident.

The Summit Metro Crash Response Team is still investigating, but it’s been confirmed that Nime was struck by the car when it careened into the house, he said.

The driver, who has not yet been identified, was taken to a local hospital, treated for unspecified injuries and was released this afternoon, according to Cuyahoga Falls police Lt. Dale Gramley.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Good evening readers, thanks for the comments. It appears more details will surface tomorrow. I certainly understand that emotions are running high given the accident, but please wait to make your judgments until after the whole story comes to light. Best regards, jd

Has it ever occurred to you that the person driving suffered an unexpected medical incident? It was not drug/ alcohol related, no texting, nothing intentional or reckless, it was a horrible accident that could happen to you someday too. Hold your tongue until you hear the whole story.

I heard she had a heart attack although they haven't confirmed that. I agree with the previous comment completely.

Yes, if there was a heart attack that occured, I apologize. However, if it's not medical related than I'd hope for some type of punishment. My apologies for speaking out so quickly.
