Heroin Overdose in Gorge Metro Park

The following was obtained from a Cuyahoga Falls Police report dated Dec. 1. It does not indicate a conviction.

Cuyahoga Falls Police and Fire rushed to Front Street on Saturday morning after a man was seen slumped over his steering wheel in the parking lot at Gorge Metro Park. 

When paramedics arrived on scene, they were able to resusciate the unresponsive man. He was taken to Summa Western Reserve Hospital following the overdose, according to a police report. 

Authorities found two used hypodermic needles and a burnt spoon in his car, and confirmed heroin use.

The man, who has a reported history of drug offenses, was charged with drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
