Turkeys thrown into resident's car

A resident in the 1700 block of 11th Street told police someone threw two frozen turkeys through the back window of her car, breaking the window, sometime on March 8. Damage is estimated at $200.

Identity theft thwarted

An Akron man told police someone nearly gained access to his bank account by providing bank employees at Valley Savings Bank, 140 Portage Trail, with the victim's date of birth and social security number. The suspect had called the bank trying to change the online password on March 11 or 12.

Man arrested after trying to fill fraudulent prescription

A 19-year-old Akron man was arrested for deception to obtain drugs, a fourth-degree felony, and drug of abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he attempted to fill a prescription for Vicodin at Giant Eagle, 75 Graham Road, about 5 p.m. March 12. The woman's prescription was fraudulent. Police also found one Alprazolam (Xanax) pill on her for which she was not prescribed.
