Falls Police Raid Suspected Meth Lab
SWAT team executes search warrant at Silver Lake Avenue home.
A Cuyahoga Falls SWAT team raided a Silver Lake Avenue home about 8 p.m. Tuesday evening and found equipment for a methamphetamine lab, hazardous materials and several weapons.
Police in a press release said, “On May 10, 2011, the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department Narcotics Unit during an investigation learned of a methamphetamine lab located at 740 Silver Lake (Ave.) in Cuyahoga Falls.”
“A search warrant was obtained. The Cuyahoga Falls SWAT team executed the search warrant at approximately 8 p.m. without incident.”

Two juveniles, age 13 and 14, were detained and turned over to Summit County Children Services.
Police arrested John E. Richmond, 49, of 740 Silver Lake Ave., when he arrived at the home.

Richmond is charged with a felony count of illegal assembly/possession of chemicals for manufacture of drugs and misdemeanor charges of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
Additional charges are pending, police said.
Hazardous chemicals and equipment used in making methamphetamine were confiscated, police said, along with a sawed-off shotgun, three other shotguns and two rifles.
