Police, Paramedics Respond to Back-to-Back Drug Overdoses

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Aug. 6. It does not indicate a conviction.

and paramedics rushed to the 300 block of Pleasant Meadow Blvd. on Aug. 6 at 2:22 p.m. after a 26-year-old man was found unconscious in his bedroom. Family members said they couldn’t wake him up and feared the man had overdosed. He was taken to and treated. Police are waiting on lab results to determine what triggered the overdose. Detectives are investigating the incident.

A 25-year-old man was found lying unconscious in his mother’s front yard on Aug. 6 around 7 p.m. The Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department picked the man up off the 1900 block of Searl St. and took him to Summa Western Reserve Hospital. A hypodermic needle and burnt spoon were found in his pockets by medical staff. Once the man regained consciousness, he admitted to injecting heroin. The man was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments.
